I look at this drawing and I suddenly think of hockey...

You missed the goal. You're in the penalty box. The other team has a power play on you. The team wants to trade you because you do not perform to their expectations. You just passed the puck to someone on the other team. The other team just scored, and you got the assist. In the same manner that the Hurricanes lost in the play offs, you got swept and lost at art.
